Dear list, After thinking about the voting process, I have a thought whether it is possible to modify the Electronic Voting Machines so as to improve accessibility. Even after providing braille lists it is doubtful as to how many visually challenged can use them. There is a large percentage of them who do not know braille. I feel if buttons which when pressed can announce candidates name can be provided in front of each contestant it will improve inclusiveness. The arrangement should be such that when the button is pressed once it will announce the name of the contestant and when pressed 2nd time the vote will be cast.
