Dear list, on and off, we keep talking of the accessibility of websites and the problem of captcha. However, no departments attend to this problem. Departments and establishments would not listen because it is not their issue.
But I regret to state that none of the NGO's working in the field of VI community/accessibility forcefully raise such issues. D U admissions have commenced and a process of online admission has been designed for the applicants. However, the V I cannot apply for admission independently as before creating an account, they face a captcha. I wrote to dean, students welfare but no reply from their side. On this list, there are various members with various NGO's like national federation of the blind, All India confederation, and many others. But no initiative has yet been taken in this regard. Dr. Anil Aneja relating to Confederation is presently working with the equal opportunity cell but no action from his side. I request all the NGO's to come together and work for removing the captcha from D U admission portel. Thanks and regards.
