And also good to know that you were accepted by your family and taken to public events. But that wasn't the case with me. I am Uday, a late blind(due to accident) had to stay alone along with my family as they thought attending such events with or without me would bring them disgrace as people would come and ask them how I was doing. I finally took a stand and came to Bangalore and am working now in a MNC as a Senior Recruiter recruiting US citizens for companies there. I do not have anything to look back and laugh at in my past. But the thought what if I didn't take a stand still scares me. There are still many people and children who are sitting home not taking a stand and unaware that there are aids and NGO's which are ready to help them become independent. Please do educate people around you about the available help no matter if they are abled or differently abled and take a step towards Inclusive India.
