Dear All, Greetings from Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI) and XLCinema! We all love watching movies, Don’t we? Have we ever thought how a visually impaired person can enjoy movie to the fullest along with his/her sighted friends and family in the theatre? How a blind audience can understand an action movie? Now, with the advancement in digital technology, the movie can be audio described for people with blindness. With audio description, people with vision impairment can have an independent movie watching experience. A movie with audio description has A professional voice over artist describe the visual scenes or actions going on screen in between dialogues. The audio description can be enjoyed through XLCinema application available on IOS and Android. With courtesy of Salman Khan Films (SKF), the movie Dabangg 3, starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kichu Sudeep, and Saieem Manjrekar, directed by Prabhudeva has an audio description facility recorded by Saksham and which can be enjoied through XLCinema application. We thank SKF for understanding the needs of people with blindness and taking a step towards making Indian cinema inclusive. We hope that the entire film industry will contribute in this as well. BGFI along with XLCinema is organizing an inclusive screening of Dabangg 3 on Sunday, 5th January 2020. Venue: Metro Inox Cinemas, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Dhobi Talao, New Marine Lines, Junction, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400020. Time: will be shared shortly. About XLCinema: XLCinema app is an Entertainment smartphone application that enables the viewer to listen to audio described movies as well as movies dubbed in different languages in their preferred dubbed language track in sync with the theatre video using their headphones/earphones privately. XLCinema app is available on both iOS and Android platforms since 2018 rated at 4.6 with over 35k users. Thus, is name eXtra Language Cinema which supported movies like Naa peru surya, Manikarnika, Thackeray, Hotel Mumbai and Dabangg 3. Key Steps To Be Taken Before The Screening: 1.
