Dear All,

This is to bring your kind attention to the fact that around 1 & a
half or two years back, for the purpose of reading printed documents
etc, I had bought a Lex Portable scanner which did its job perfectly.
Now, since I need to read not only printed English documents but also
to read scanned image in regional language, sometimes in hand written
text etc, I am in need of a device that can enable me do all those
tasks simultaneously.
I, therefore, want to sale my Lex scanner at a lower price and with
that money buy a new device that would be at least very close to meet
my requirement.
I had purchased it from Sparsh at around Rs. 45000 and now, 25 K is my
expected price to sale the same. It is almost in the brand new
condition and all documents and accessories are in tact. The in built
OCR is truely very good in respect of printed English documents.
All that needs to be done, is to plug in the device on the USB port of
PC / Laptop, open the Lex application, and hit " Entre" once the
interface is in focus. Its speed of scanning is reasonably good. After
scanning you will get an editable doc which again can be saved in a
number of file formats of your choice and requirement including Word,
Excel or PDF etc. The application itself is also JAWS or NVDA
compatible. Scanning can also be done in batches, which means that a
large number of pages can be scanned at one go without pause.
I know, apart from VI individuals, many organizations are working for
the VI students extensively by making their text and reference books
accessible. Most of these books are in English language only.
If any one feels interested to buy the same for individual or
organizational use, please be requested to get in touch with me on my
personal email- sudeshna.bhattachary...@gmail.com. Please forward the
mail to them, who seem to be or are in touch with such persons, for
whom it may be a matter of interest. It will help me and the other end
together..

Looking forward to hear something favourable soon!

Thanks and regards,

Sudeshna Bhattacharya.
