Eloquence, and is charging for the same, there is no question for it to
be available free of cost. Even if you mod it and change the name to
something else, the voice and other functionalities remain same and
would come under the violation of copyright laws. I will put stop to

This is what Saksham charges for and it is all fully legal and transparent.
We always had a dream that Indian languages need to be supported in the screen
reading software and I am very satisfied that with the efforts of Saksham and
several partner organizations such as CIS, Hans foundation, Hear2Read and
Nuance Vocalizer team we have TTS available for 16 Indian languages.
In addition to the distribution of special Indo-NVDA, Saksham is also involved
in adding India specific features in the open source NVDA available from
NV-Access. Whatever is possible to be made part of NVDA is released as open
source package itself. Support for reading graphs in excel, the all the
features available through NVDA-F7 key in Excel. Sentence reading with alt-down
arrow in MS word, phonetic clarity of character with double click of
NVDA-dot (.) for Indian languages, are few of these. We do not restrict outcome
of our work just to the licensed copy of Indo-NVDA. This is to make clear that
profit and money has never been the motive for our work in this field. Several
outstanding and extremely talented individuals and entities have contributed to
make this possible.
While we are on the topic of Indo-NVDA, the current version of Vocalizer
add-ons provided with Indo-NVDA are not compatible with NVDA 19.3. Thus do not
upgrade to 19.3 till new version of Indo-NVDA is released.

I always thought that was a bit shady of them (Saksham) to do that, But to be
perfectly honest with you, they could be either charging for the other 2
scansoft? nuance voices, or the eloquence they addon they bundled in worked on
some other licensing deal.
I haven't used that particular version myself, so can't speak with clarity.
If they were using the same version of the eloquence addon and were charging
for it, it was definitely not right of them to do so, but Saksham will need to
be the one to speak up on it as all I will end up doing here would be
speculation.
I know what I know, as the addon was developed in a community I was a part
of.

As you remember, the previous eloquence was not a valid one and was
indeed a cracked one. I don't remember seeing anywhere anything
being said about eloquence being made open source. Being an open
source software doesn't mean you can not use some crack addon with
that. And, modding something to something and changing the name
doesn't make that thing one's property and eloquence was and
remains to this day a copyright property unless the original
developers choose to declare it open source which they haven't yet
done. I will no more right on this and will leave it for the
moderators to decide. If you think you can convince them for the
legality of your post, I have no problem and have nothing against you
personally.

Though Eloquence is no longer being developed, and previous one
being offered by the same site too, was not an authorized one, I
wonder if this can be considered as valid one as this is a modded
version of the previous Eloquence by the same people and may
