Student seeks exam paper in larger point size - Times of India MUMBAI: A specially-abled student approached Bombay high court to be given the question paper for the forthcoming Std X board examinations with Arial font in 20 points. SSC examinations start from March 3. A government resolution of October 16, 2018, provides for such an examination paper, said her lawyer, Prosper D'Souza. The lawyer sought an urgent hearing on Tuesday and a bench of Justices Shinde and Bisht posted it for hearing on February 20. The government was asking her to use a magnifying glass to enlarge the point size, said her lawyer. The student studies in Vengurla high school, Vengurla district in Sindhudurg, and suffers from low vision and cerebral palsy, the petition said. She has been issued two disability certificates by the Maharashtra government. The petition sought orders to set aside a reply given to her in October 2019, and to provide question papers with a larger point size, as permitted by the government resolution.
