Hello sir, This was happen to me before some time with the jaws. Sighted people was able to see the search results under the start menu, but, the screen reader was not reading. And, later, I swiched to n v d a screen reader then onwards I was able to read the results. If this is the case, Please follow the below given steps.
1. open the jaws settings centre by pressing insert f2. 2. enter on setting centre. 3. press ctrl shift d for the default configuration. 4. in the search, type start and wait for the results. You may get the result which says "Start menu: Access Out-of-Process" 5. press tab and check the check box which says "Start menu: Access Out-of-Process" and see if it works.
