Greetings from Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI)!
Have you or anyone dear to you has faced any type of harassment? Have
you ever felt unsafe because you weren’t aware of the basic legal
provisions?

If the answer to the above questions is yes then we are pleased to
invite you to our next session on awareness on legal provisions
related to safety and
security. India as a country unfortunately has a very large number of
population who are not aware of their basic rights and legal
provisions regarding
their safety and security. The situation become worse when we talk
about persons with disability. Many people think that safety
provisions majorly concern
with women. But you will be surprised to know that this topic is
holistic and every human being is protected by the law and isn’t often
aware about his
legal rights.

Join us on Saturday, 14th March 2020 between 3pm-5:30pm as we delve
deeper into this topic with senior advocate Mr. Uday Warunjikar. Who
will educate us
about the safety provision not only available under the Rights of
Persons with Disability Act 2016 but other relevant laws as well.

About speaker Uday Warunjikar sir: Sir is a senior advocate practicing
in Bombay High court. He has represented persons with disabilities in
many important
cases with most recent being on the accessibility of the currency.

The venue can be conveniently reached bye bus number 124, 125 ,63 from
Mumbai central railway station. The bus stop is located opposite to
bridge exit
of Bombay Central Station. It also can be reached by bus number 63
from Byculla West railway station exit.
