Dear friends, VIBEWA has been writing to all the authorities concerned to ensure visually impaired stay safe at home during the present condition. In the past week, we had written to Department of Financial services, IBA and the CMDs of all the public sector bank impressing upon them the need for visually challenged to remain at home.
The relevant guidelines OM issued by DOPT to DFS can be found at https://dopt.gov.in/whats-new While some banks have issued internal circulars to this effect, some are yet to pass any internal orders, and the implementation has been partial in some banks depending on the regions. However, VIBEWA strives for a uniform policy across the banks and all the states. We request members who need our intervention to write to us so that we can do everything we can do. VIBEWA shall write/talk to the bank managements at an organisational level without referring to any individual as it appears to be the concern for some of the employees. Please drop a mail at contactvib...@gmail.com with the name of the bank and, if possible, the relevant Email ID to whom we should write to. -- G. Vamshi Executive volunteer, VIBEWA.
