Hi, Is the excel you are working on having some images or other embedded files in some cell? It might happen that when you navigate to such cells the NVDA will stop working. Only way then would be to close the excel and open again, even JAWS cannot work with embedded objects in excel.
I have seen NVDA stopping in between when I am working specially on Office apps, it resumes in a few seconds everytime. But I think that issue is due to rules on my Office laptop as I have never experienced such things on my personal laptop.
