Having said that, we do not know how accurate they are. You can already try these features on your phones. There is nothing radical about any such technology except the form factor. One of the problems is that the models that are used for object detection can detect only certain classes of objects. The next issue with such technology is what kind of processor can be put into the glasses and as a consequence how much computing power they have for doing things like OCR. There is no technology that can replace organic vision. You may get close to a visual experience by using the vOICe which also has built-in OCR and color detection. However, if you are looking for a scene describer, then try envision, seeing ai etc., and you will be able to judge the state of the technology. One of the more promising solutions for mobility is strap at https://strap.tech/ However, the product has not been released.
