Alternately you can press back and volume down buttons together to
activate talkback. The button you are referring is meant only for google
voice assistant.

I have an Dishtv Android settop box.
Whenever I use the voiceassistant physical button on the remote, as I
invoke it, it only sets off google search.
I can't use for input like telling channel number etc. Anyone having any
fix? I am not looking for blue-tooth keyboard solution.
