Hi Shruti,
After reading your article, I must say that it is highly misleading.
On Tuesday, the 14th of February, I took the disabled students of my
college for a visit to Amrit Udyan, and they all had a very wonderful
time.
There were around 8 students, out of which 7 were visually challenged
and the eighth one had a locomotor disability.
We had provided one volunteer each to the visually impaired students,
and none of them found any difficulty in navigating the premises.
While it is true that there are some rough patches in the way which
must be made accessible for the disabled, but overall, the gardens are
a pleasant experience.
Your article is highly exaggerating in terms of highlighting the
inaccessibility of the udyan, and it is always advisable to avoid
going to such places on weekends as they do get crowded.
We went there on a week day, and the experience was good.
