How to use Apple Mail Follow Up on iOS 16 Apple has made it easier than ever to stay on top of your emails with its new Follow Up feature. With the release of iOS 16, the native Mail app now includes AI-driven capabilities that will remind you to follow up with someone if there is no response after a certain amount of time.
If you've sent an email and selected the Follow Up button, you'll see it at the top of your inbox after three days if there's no response. Emails that Mail thinks you might want to follow up on will be highlighted too. How to turn on the Follow Up feature in Apple Mail • On your iPhone, open the Mail app. • Go to Mailboxes and select Sent. • Select a recently sent message that contains a question. • Just under the address bar, you will see a button that says Follow Up… • if you select the button, it will take you to a new blank email, already addressed to the same recipient as before, to make following up about an unanswered email that much quicker. How to Turn Off Follow Up in Apple Mail • On your iPhone, go to Settings. • Select Mail. • Toggle Follow Up, suggestions to off. It will be gray when disabled.
