Dear all, I recently bought and tested a thermometer which connects to the mobile phone app via Bluetooth and gives accurate reading. It is USA fDA approved and hence its reading can be relied upon. The app is accessible.
It is Kinsa QuickCare Smart Digital Thermometer. It is available on Amazon for rs. 3410. See https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0795ZW85G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s 00?ie=UTF8 <https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0795ZW85G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_ s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1> &psc=1 You can read all about this thermometer on the Amazon product page. The brand Kinsa makes medical equipment. The Bluetooth thermometer is easy to operate. It has coin like battery which can be replaced easily. Just press the button on the thermometer, when you hear a beep put it under your tongue or underarm and then wait for the second beep. When that happens check the Kinsa app, you will see the reading in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The reading is also saved, and a medical record is created. One issue with this is that the Kinsa app is not available when Android Play Store or Apple App Store is set to India. I located the Kinsa app APK file <https://www.apkmonk.com/app/com.kinsa.polaris.app/> on the web and then installed it on my Android phone. After that it asked me to create an account and it easily connected to the thermometer via Bluetooth and all is OK now. I have not installed it on iPhone because I don't want to change my country settings there. With this caveat you may buy and try this at your own risk. I have not been able to locate any other smart body thermometer, I think this is the only option for those who are not happy with the talking thermometers accuracy. Please check the Amazon product page or Kinsa website for more details. I may not be able to track all questions in response to this email.
