I am forwarding your email to the relevant people. In the meantime I am sharing some of my experiences- I visited on a Monday evening. It was definitely open till about 7.30pm. There is someone there to take you around. It is laid out like a house. For eg. The kitchen has many knives, chopping boards, plates, mats etc.
It is a very nice place to see gadgets etc which can be used by persons with different disabilities. There are the usual games for the Blind.You would have seen these at many places. My mother is low visioned and she found a nail cutter with magnification. I thought that the sofa which ensures that you don’t sink into is very good for senior citizens. There was a small washing machine which could be useful when we don’t want to mix our clothes with clothes of our family members who have no bowel control. Please take time while you are moving around-maybe 2 hours. You can also try the café which is on the first floor and has a braille menu. Don’t limit yourself to gadgets for the Blind do explore the other things because you can guide your community. Try the smart glasses. You cant buy anything there but you can get the manufacturers numbers and addresses and directly get in touch. I did not connect with anyone since I really did not need anything. Though I would buy the coffee mug which has a button to stir the contents for my lazy non disable friends.
