I used narrator since it was introduced in windows 2000. later with windows xp and 7. Still it is not my choice as a primary screen reader. The main disadvantage of this inbuilt screen reader is, it don't support non-microsoft products and also old versions of microsoft products.

Hi all,

I am Nidhi Jain. I work at Microsoft and I am a product manager for Windows Narrator – the in-built screen reader of Windows. I recently assumed this role and want to spend time talking to different screen reader users on what we can do to improve Narrator and make it a potential choice for users.

With that context, I am looking to talk to people from different profiles listed below. If you are interested to talk to me and other members in the team, please message me at +918985694636 or email me at [email protected].

do spread the word . I will additionally be sending a short survey for everyone irrespective of your interest in talking to us.

Profiles of people:

1.Using Narrator as primary screen reader on Windows either with speech or Braille output .

2.Using JAWS or NVDA or any other screen reader as primary and fall back on Narrator for few scenarios with speech or Braille output .

3.Using only JAWS or NVDA or any other screen reader. Heard about Narrator but have not tried it recently.

4.Using VoiceOver on Mac as primary but do have experience using Windows with screen readers in the last 2 years.

Thanks,

Nidhi
