Don’t know anything about Water Sports.

Mumbai is not accessible but helpful.

If you are coming to Gateway to go to Elephanta then I can help you get on the
Boat. From Gateway you can get a BEST bus for Rs. 6/- to CST station which
will then allow you to get a train for Panvel direct.

Haji ali is not possible. You will go out of the route and you will find it
very difficult to get to Panvel.

If you have 2 days then Haji Ali can be done.

Let me know when you are planning to come.

Subject: [AI] How blind-friendly is your Mumbai and what about water sports?

Hi friends,

I’m visiting Mumbai in some time and would be glad to know how friendly public
transportation is there for the totally blind.

I have less than 24 hours to see the Gateway of India and take a ferry to the
Elephanta Caves. I intend to also see the Haji Ali Dargah from where I’ll ride
to Panvel Railway Station.

Additionally, I want to parasail and scuba dive. Goa guys denied me parasailing
after knowing my blindness and said that they’ll get their license cancelled if
they allow me. I only managed to take a jet ski there, and this happened when I
quietly handed money to them and took full responsibility.

Kindly also let me know if there’re any special dos or don’ts for a blind
travelling alone to Mumbai.

Awaiting responses.

Thanks,

Shadab
