Dear All, Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, proudly marks its 20th anniversary! To celebrate this important milestone, we're holding 20 Tech Roshni sessions on diverse topics for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
We are excited to announce our 18th online workshop on the theme “*Library - a* *Knowledge Treasure*” under its Tech Roshni series – A step at bridging the digital divide for blind and low vision persons. This workshop is supported by *Dhun Pestonji Parakh Discretionary Trust.* Enhancing our knowledge through reading is essential in the current scenario, especially for individuals with print disabilities who can access and read materials such as magazines, books, papers, etc., from various sources. However, the primary source remains the library, whether for reading archived e-books or other materials. In this session we will explore some libraries with NVDA. *Eligibility*: participants should have good knowledge of Internet browsing, typing and screen reader. *Limited seats are available for the session.* Those interested should kindly register by using the Registration link <https://forms.gle/zDoQi5voAosadhKF9>. *Resource Persons*: Vikas Dabholkar and Keshavan Nadar. *Criteria*: Persons with print disabilities such as blindness and low vision. Participant should be a screen reader user. *Date:* March 16, 2024, (Saturday). *Time:* 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. *Venue:* Online Session (Zoom conferencing platform) The registration link will close at 2.00 pm.
