Hi Friends, For years now I’ve noticed that reading PDF tables is a huge problem. While navigating inside a table, if let’s say the column headers is the top row, then it reads those correctly if we move from cell to cell with Control, Alt, Arrows.
But if we go down to the second row, where the actual data for the table begins, then let’s say we are in the second row, first column on the left. The screen-reader will read all the cells down that column as if it was all part of the first left cell being read. This makes understanding the table data impossible relative to the rows and columns to which the cell contents belong. I’m not sure about those of you using NVDA in Browse mode, but even up until Jaws 2024 this problem hasn’t gone away while reading with Virtual PC Cursor. Any thoughts on this will beappreciated. Yes, the app is behaving well now. 90% or less, I won't comment, but out of 4 tabs the App is having, the one "manage" is working really good now. the other 3, namely "Pay", "Shop" and "Help" still need improvements with screen reader access. I won't use big words like "Dedication", "commitment" etc because the App was not that crap about 3 years back, it was usable then. Why Airtel made App functionality like nightmare in first place? And it's because of us many people's constant efforts through various channels that Airtel felt to take this step. It took about 3 years for this realization.
