Dear All Happy 13th Global Accessibility Awareness Day, which falls on 16th May 2024.
We are delighted to inform you that on the eve of GAAD, Union Bank of India conducted a full-day digital accessibility training program for 50 of the bank's information technology officers at the training college in Hyderabad. These officers are responsible for software development and testing. A significant aspect of this initiative is that the dedicated technical training in implementing digital accessibility was led by accessibility expert Raghvendra Satish Peri, founder of DigitalA11Y.com, and his community engagement work through HelloA11y. Celebrating the 2nd anniversary of Union Access, this program signifies the bank's advancement to the next level of digital accessibility maturity. Tomorrow, the bank will launch a social media awareness initiative on the occasion through creative posts. Once again, best wishes to all on GAAD 2024.
