He has asked for a software that allows phonetic Hindi typing, that is, English a for Hindi aw, shift+a for Hindi aa etc. Himesh Prasad Gautam developed a software called Barnamala for Bengali phonetic typing. If I remember correctly, he did something similar for Hindi and other Indian languages also.
