Dear All, I hope you all are doing well. I have recently started working in the field of audio recording and editing. Since I am just beginning, I am looking for a budget-friendly condenser microphone that can serve my basic needs well. I also take online music classes, so it’s important that my voice reaches my students clearly and with good sound quality. That’s why I want to invest in a mic that is affordable but also offers decent clarity. I would be really grateful if you could suggest some good condenser mic options within a reasonable budget that could be suitable for online music teaching and basic voice recording work. Also, I have one more query. I have heard from a few people that if we don’t have an audio interface or mixer, we might need to purchase a separate phantom power supply to use the condenser mic properly. So, my question is – if I go for a USB condenser mic and connect it directly to my laptop, do I still need a phantom power supply? Or is that only needed for XLR condenser mics? I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me on this. Your suggestions will help me make a better and informed decision. Thank you so much in advance for your time and support.
