National UP to set up university for the handicapped Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to set up a university for the handicapped in Lucknow and name it after the mother of senior BSP leader Satish Chandra Misra. The decision was taken at a meeting of the State cabinet presided over by the Chief Minister Mayawati here on Saturday. Briefing newspersons later, Mayawati said the cabinet gave its approval to naming the upcoming university after Misra's mother because of her efforts for the welfare of the handicapped, specially the blind, in her lifetime.
