Hi
You can keep the PC on and set up the scheduler for downloading big files.
Free Download Manager is armed with those features.
Harish.

Your answer is so comforting that I may relax too much and go to bed
early tonight, forgetting that I need to be awake to download to my
heart's content! Oops, it is a special effort indeed!! Thanks for the
quick answer any way.

Hello!
First, let me congratulate you (not for paying a big money to BSNL) but
for
the way you put your views again in such a nice language.
Be sure, if you are using BSNL's home 500 plan, then I tell you the
truth
that you can download any amount of data during these comforting 6 hours

daily, (doesn't matter even if you cross 120 or 180 GB (yes GB).
Only those using home 250 plan are not entitled to avail this free
service,
all others using home 500 plan or greater can download/upload freely at
their will during 2 AM to 8 AM.
So my friend, put special efforts to get up at 2 at midnight and this
will
set you free from all your download worries.
Regards.
Sandesh

Subject: [AI] regarding the free download time in BSNL broadband

Folks:

Many of you were kind enough to entertain my long list of questions
regarding BSNL broadband. Drawing up the cheque for what is arguably
the
largest sum for telephone/internet I have ever paid in my life, I
thought I have learnt all that I needed to learn about BSNL broadband.
But yes, as I re-read most of the mails I have received from you, one
thing I feel I need to confirm, if I ever were to avoid receiving
another inflated internet bill from our nation's beloved service
provider: is it absolutely true that we don't incur any charges for
things we download between 2 am and 8 am in BSNL broadband (Rs 500
plan)? And, let me put the point even more clearly, does it mean we
can
download any number of big files (180 mb, 120 mb and so on) during
these
hours and escape paying anything at all? I don't want to take a gamble
and so I thought I might as well ask those long time users of BSNL
broadband this question. I hope I haven't caused any annoyance by
bringing back an issue discussed to death not long ago!!!
