Please understand neither of them are free. If one wish to use Outlook Express, it comes only when you purchase Windows Operating System. If some one looking for free email client, may be go for something that is open sources like Thunder.
Coming to original question, Outlook and Outlook Express both are Email clients that means you can download mails from server and read even while you are offline. It's rather easy to use. However, most of the free email services like hotmail, rediff cannot be configured. I personally prefer Microsoft Outlook since it has features like calendar etc. Thanks & regards, Ch.
