My name is Faraz Badshah. I had enrolled for CIIA programme with ICFAI. I am partially sighted. I also faced similar problem with respect to scribe. Before enrolling I had enquired about scribe and they said that it will be allowed but I need to furnish three applicants out of which they will choose one. I cleared the first level. However after that I was told that for the next exam I will need to furnish 3 different applications. It became very cumbersome and I was forced to discontinue the course. They do not give extra time. I spoke to Shankar Sir of NAB regd this and he in turn spoke to the institute person but they are not ready to listen. They are not ready to follow the govt guidelines.

Subject: [AI] VI students in ICFAI University.

Hi all,
We would like to know about:
1. Visually impaired students pursuing some course from ICFAI
University, and getting writer & extra time for their exams.

2. Rules of the ICFAI university for visually impaired students.

One of our callers from Ahmedabad (Gujarat), totally blind, is
pursuing MBA from ICFAI University. He is facing problems in getting
compensating facilities like scribe and extra time.

ICFAI university has asked him to bring 3 students of upto class 12th
level, out of which they would choose one as a scribe for him. More
over the University is denying for extra time.

If you have any information / suggestion, please write to us at
helpd...@eyeway.org.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Thanks and regards.
