Well, the telescopic cane is what it really says, telescopic. Unlike the folding canes, the different pieces of a telescopic cane, go inside the pieces above it. This is more or less similar to the telescopic antena that we find short wave or medium wave radios. The bottom piece of a telescopic cane is the narrowest and the top one is the widest.
