--Srinivasu We have been retained by the Wadhwani Foundation to recruit their Director - Disability Programs. The Wadhwani Foundation is the private foundation of Romesh Wadhwani, a successful serial entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley. The Foundation works in two areas: promoting business entrepreneurship and helping disabled achieve financial independence. Over the past years, it has become clear that there is a gap in terms of effective job training, placement and livelihood development for the disabled, one of the most vulnerable groups in India. The Wadhwani Foundation wishes to dramatically scale up its activities and impact in the disability sector and develop, establish and scale up a program that will place 10,000's of disabled individuals into jobs and livelihoods over the next 10 years. The new initiative will work from both the supply side, increasing the number of skilled and employable disabled persons, as well as from the demand side, increasing the number of job and livelihood opportunities. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial leader, able to design, develop and build programs and initiatives from the ground up, with minimal day-to-day supervision and support. In addition, he or she will be passionate about the cause. Location: Bangalore preferable. Can consider other cities for the right candidate.
