Dear Rajesh Asudani, The time and date in computer/mobile phone,are maintained by a dedicated clock circuit. This circuit is permanantly charged by the button cell on the mother board/battery in cell phone. Even when the systems are switched off,this tiny circuit will be working. When the system is again booted up,the clock and data information from the tiny RTC circuit is read by the CPU and updated.
