Hello,

Thanks to you for the help. I have got cyberLink PowerDvd 9. It's working, not really accessible though. The dvd had some .buf files.

Hello!

To sum up all I can say that if you have Power DVD with you which
normally is provided with Nero installation disc, just install it and
the codecs are automatically installed in WMP. I usually prefer VLC
for video playbvacks and as my mate Amar has rightly pointed out that
it does have some accessibility issues with Jaws, there are few
control keys which are pretty much adequate for normal playbacks, such
as:
Ctrl + right arrow = Forward
Ctrl + left arrow = rewind
Spacebar = Pause/play
S = Stop
Ctrl + up arrow + volume increase
ctrl + down arrow = volume decrease

Note :- The keys for volume up and down dont work with Jaws activated
, so that gets a bit tricky but apart from that I find VLC much stable
than WMP.

The rest is up to you

Usually you can not play DVDs in windows media player.
But if you are using windows media center, you can.
Here, you can install power DVD or total vedio player or any such players.

With reguards,

Hello,

I discover that I cannot play a video on my dvd rom. I get the following
error message in windows mediaplayer:
Windows Media Player is currently unable to play DVD video. Try decreasing

the number of colors displayed on your monitor or decreasing the screen
resolution. For additional solutions, click

I further note that it needs some dvd encoder. What is the solution?
