webel softwares comes with proper pronunciation in human voice. As I know, Tamil Braille is based in Bharati Braille. And I think that, pronunciation can be learnt with the help of the above software. I have no idea about the Braille press in Chennai.

With regards.

Amarnath.

He needs someone for a start. Moreover, we do not use the Webbel software. He needs the Braille characters with perfect Tamil pronunciation. What about the Braille press in Chennai?

hello Amiyoda,
if he resides in Kolkata, I think that, he can contact to webel and he can learn Tamil Braille with the help of their software "Braille writer". he can learn the pronunciation also. This facility is also available at Helen Keller Smriti Vidya Mandir, Krishnagar also.

Hope, this information will help you.

with regards.

Amarnath.

Subject: [AI] Learning Tamil Braille.

Hello,

I wrote this mail some time back. I am repeating it again as I did not get any response. I hope, some Tamil friend on the list will help.

A senior member of our organisation wants to learn Tamil and he will start his training soon. He is totally blind and uses Braille for his personal works apart from computer.

He wants to learn Tamil Braille that he can keep notes. Can you help? I think, a good Braille primer or an equivalent will do for a start. If I get the address, it can be purchased. Still there will remain the problem of pronunciation or identification of the Braille characters. In that case, I would like request my Tamil friends to volunteer. I can give the learner his or her cell number so that he can talk to him if necessary.

With Best regards,
Amiyo Biswas.
