Well most of the accuracy is attained using 'vocal remover'.
I have tried many with the object to get karaokes or just the music of a
song so that I can record my own voice on that track.
But in most of the cases, it removes vocal up to 80 to 90%. I have not seen
any software removing vocal 100% from the song.
There are some websites cllaiming to remove vocal 100% if you pay them some
amount. I didn't try those websites, as it was not that important for me.
I found Goldwave's vocal remover very good.
I heard from someone that how much a vocal from a song can be removed
depends on how many channels the song is being recorded means, it iss the
difference between mono and stario channels.
But I don't possess enough knowledge on that particular ospect.

It is possible to remove the human audio from sound tracks leaving behind
only instrument sounds. I have seen few blind persons doing it through
softwares such as Sound Forge, cool edit etc. this is done by applying
various types of filters and the result may not be 100% accurate and often
varies from song to song. I however cannot suggest the exact steps. it
requires playing around with the tools given in these softwares and
tweeking equalizers and filters.

thatcouldseparate instrumentation from a song:

Hi,
If you are trying to do this in a usual mp3 or wmv or other similar file
formats, it wont be possible as its a single file, wherein the singer's
voice and the different musical instruments are not given in seperate
tracks. For this one should have access to the unmix (what they call in
the studio), and it would have been made in a particular sound editing
software such as Nuendo, Sound forge etc. This ofcourse would be only
with the copyright holder/production house of the song.

But you can get the sing-along (karaoke) CDs of some songs in the music
stores.

Pranay.

Subject: (VIB) SBI to install 7,000 talking ATMs for visually challenged

Saturday 09 January, 2010.

SBI to install 7,000 talking ATMs for visually challenged

India's largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) plans to introduce 7,000
voice enabled ATMs across the country for visually challenged customers
beginning next month.

"Out of our 18,500 ATMs, 7,000 will be made voice enabled for visually
challenged people. We expect to launch these talking ATMs starting next
month," SBI's General Manager (Alternate Channels) Amitabh Kumar said at a
CII seminar in Mumbai on Thursday.

These voice enabled ATMs, customised with headphones and braille key pads,
will offer services like funds transfer and downloading of account
statements, Kumar said.

Presently, SBI is testing voice enabled ATMs with its partners NCR and
Diebold and expects to make these operational in a month's time, he said.

SBI plans to install these ATMs in metro, urban and semi urban towns across
the country.

"The country has 10.6 million visually challenged people and it is the duty of the banks to help these people to meet their banking needs," ICICI Bank's
CEO and Managing Director, Chanda Kochhar, speaking at the seminar, said.

ICICI Bank has installed its first talking ATM in 2003. Over the years, the
bank has also ensured that the basic banking facilities can be used by
physically handicapped people, Kochhar said. (DD-8.1)

You probably cannot appreciate the effort required and difficulty of getting
all the equipment under one roof. I am from Bhopal and have had the
opportunity of visiting Saksham many times and people there are very helpful
and patiently explain each and every thing.
Its very easy to make comments. and even if the organization is celling the
products at a higher cost, what is wrong? organisation also has to sustain
itself.

you have a smaller one and a bigger one. the first would be costing

Hi
Most modern firm have a swipe card system which is pretty independent.
You may propose your firm to use a spreadsheet or an online Google form
where you can independently fill it up.
Other members in the group may provide their valuable inputs in this

hi, it does not destroy X.P at all if you install in a different
drive. you need to perform a clean install in a different drive using
custom and not a upgrade install. the only problem is that microsoft
says: " when you are using a upgrade version and when you install
windows 7 on your previous installation of windows your previous
license will be lost. there shall not be any problem if you purchase a
