That is correct. I had a similar problem when I downgraded from Vista to XP. 
It was resolved on installing the correct driver for the graphics card.

The Jaws cursor as well as dialogue boxes will not work unless the video
intercept is installed properly. If your graphic driver is installed, then
Jaws should automatically install it once it prompts it.

I have installed jaws 10 on my new system with windows XP.
However, it is giving me a dialogue saying that it requires video intercept
and three radio buttons saying install video intercept and restart, or do
not install video intercept etc.
Otherwise jays is running fine, but now, in MS outlook it not reading list
of messages etc.
Do I need to install video intercept by choosing install and restart?
Will it install automatically or require some CD etc.?
