It was a dream come true for the 7 visually impaired girls from NAB India
Centre for Blind Women, Delhi who were gifted free air travel from Delhi to
Chandigarh and back on 22nd March 2010.(A total of 10 people with 3 escorts)
Apart from the joy ride, the hospitality and care of Air India staff were heart
warming. The crew was delighted to take extra care of the girls' experience.
The pilot, Captain Dhillon bore in mind these passengers and made special
announcements during the flight to apprise them about the facts of the flight
(in hindi which he was not very comfortable with). And the ground staff were
almost on their toes to make it a smooth but memorable experience for all of us
(me being one of the escorts in the team).
The girls were elated and would probably never forget this life time
experience, thanks to Air India
