1. First of all, we will have a very cclear statistics and specifics on
disability population in this country. We will no how many, and even
who, require what kinds of services and it would then be possible for
NGOs and service organisations to reach out to that specific population.

2. We will know geographical disposition of disability and will be able
to check if certain disability are occurring in certain families/social
environments, especially vision defects such as RP etc.
3. This will be good for people to access services of the government and
even the government can ensure the benefits reach the person/people it
is meant for.

4. It would hopefully unify the various identification certificates we
need to carry with us now.

5. This is a long shot, but it should be possible for the prospective
employers to learn about our disability when they check our UID numbers
even before the recruitment process begins. The employer can then make
up his mind about the suitability of the position for us, instead of
waiting for us to let him know the disability (which some people are
apprehensive of doing since they fear that they may not be called for
the interview in the first place if their disability is known).

That's all I can think of.
