It is like telephone banking and kind of safe but can't really say, credit information security over tele shopping is the sole responsibility of the merchant and the user don't have much to do. Generally, the software used for such transaction promise that the CcE (customer care executive) will be unable to view the card details but what if some CCE hack the software. Additionally, there are small instruments to decode the keys pressed by the user and can be attached with the CCE line so in this case if the security department don't check well for the gadgets with CCE, it will do the magic! On a personal note, I don't like the tele shopping option as internet shopping is much more easy, reliable and safe provided you are aware of the latest frauds techniques.
