Vinayak: A few questions: 1. What is the kind of software they are trying to develop and it's purpose? 2. Have the done a research, how their product is going to be helpful? 3. Who would be marketing? I am assuming, once those students complete their final year, college would be the owner of the product, did you work out who would continue to develop the project?
I am afraid, there are lot of institutions who claimed similar projects and we have invested a lot of time in encouraging them but at the end, the work has been locked in their labs. I would suggest only take up a project, if you have a real intention to bring in an innovative product and market to community.
