Hello all, It is over one and a half years since I filed my returns for the year 2008/2009. However, I have not received the refund as yet. I received a letter from the IT office about six months ago stating that the refund had been authorised. But there is no sign of it as yet. We tried contacting the office; they directed us to another office, who in turn said they are still awaiting the computer code from the first office, and that they cannot authorise the bank to transfer the amount without this computer code.
Is there an income tax cell where this issue can be reported? At this rate they can take years to process this refund and get away without any accountability. Suggestions would be appreciated.
