Hellow friends, in government offices where the most documents are maintained in Hindi and Marathi with the help of screen readers how totally blind persons are working as a clerk? In our state (Maharashtra) most useful and official language is Marathi. whole correspondance is usually done and maintained in Marathi. for that perpose ism dvbtt-yogesh font is used as a regular font. which is not a unic font. so no screen reader can read it. as like Mangal font. no o.c.r. software is available for scan Marathi document and convert it in to the word documents. then how can any totally bllind person can work as a clerk by using computer? except typing on computer what kind of duties can totally blind n do? while working as clerk. I think he may operate fax machine, xerox machine, he may work as a phone operater and receptionist, he may work as a inquiry clerk. weather these all things are possible for totally blind? in other state weather totally blind persons are working as a clerk? how? What kind of duties they are doing? Please inform in detail. inr Maharashtra mostly totally blind are still not getting opportunity to work as a clerk. your warm and positive responce may be helpful to improve our condition. and utility. leading organizations and highly profiled blind persons may do some thing for us. please help us by comunicating with state government.
