Hello All,

I feel any NGO doing some work for handicap community must be
appreciated. We have to learn from our experiences, please remember
first time is not always last chance. The private sector is not very
opened to physically challenged people, the reason can be awareness both
from government and private bodies. We need to have some regulations in
place, things are changing but patience is required. NGOs can avoid lot
of candidates in job fair which can be done with screening of
application in line to company requirement.

Once a person is placed, the actual work starts to prove his/her worth
to company .I believe lot of people leave as they could not cope up with
corporate environment. We have to support physically challenged
community as people have lot of talent or immense potential, only if
given a chance and we all strive and look forward for that single
opportunity.

Lets keep doing good work rest leave everything behind.

Cheers,

Pankaj Kwatra

Rakesh,
Specific to your poinnt someone not willing to use NVDA, I think, he
is right. It's his choice what screen reader he would want to use as
long as he has all required skills. Although, companies do not like to
make more investment, if a candidate has desired skills and improves
their business significantly, then no matter how expensive the
additional support they will be provided.

Having said that, if there is any possibility we should try and avoid
additional investment to a company. But as I said, it's a choice.
