Dear Ram, I undderstand that the State Disability Commissioner's office does not want to work on a weekend but it seems that in Gujrat they are working on a Saturday. Please do reconsider and arrange the Pune meeting on the weekend.
Thanks
Kanchan

Dear Kanchan,

It would have been my pleasure to hold the consultations on a week end. That doesn't seem to be possible, as the state level disability commissioner's office is also involved.

It is proposed to hold 2 consultation meetings in Maharashtra, the first in Aurangabad, on February 22 and 23, 2011 and the second in Pune, on 28 February and March 1, 2011. I request all of you to participate in one of the meetings and share your views.

English Translation of the bill will be forwarded on the site, as I am not sure, how many of us have Hindi reading Jaws. If you indicate your participation to Pallavi, she can send Hindi version. I request Harish to arrange to upload the bill on AI site for everyone of us to see and read.
regards

Dear Ram,
Thank you for asking Pallavi to inform me that the Maharashtra State level consultation has been postpone. Subsequently I also got your email.

I am glad that we now have time to read and absorb the draft.

I note that the draft is going to be translated in Hindi and not in Marathi.

Also both the consultations are on weekdays. I would request you to reconsider the dates and organise one of the 2 meetings on a weekend. It may be difficult for the disabled to get time off from their employment. Also we must factor in the hours of travel from and to the venue.

I do look forward to a meaningful discussion.
