Hi Geetha, Few years back, I also confronted the same kind of issue, and
what I found out that my charger/adapter was faulty and the beeping sound
indicated that the electricity power being supplied to the computer was not
up to the mark. I don't remember the exact wording for the message I
received on the screen, but once my adapter was replaced by the Dell people,
the problem was certainly over. I do not really know which system you are
using, but if you are on the Dell system, I can certainly help you out.
Thanks.

Subject: [AI] A strange computer problem
Hello all,
Whenever I boot up my computer with the charger connected to it, the
computer makes a beep and does not boot up. However, when I remove the
charger and reboot, it starts fine. Could there be a problem with the
charger that is causing the computer not to boot? The battery is however
charging fine if I connect the charger after the computer boots up. I do
not
wish to throw away this charger without being certain that the fault lies
with it. Any ideas?
Many thanks.
Geetha
