Hi,
IE 9 works with jaws with little difficulties.
The problems are following:
1. Jaws does not read the status bar and nor does it announce the progress
while opening any page.
2. Unlike previous versions, this time file download box doesn't come in
another window, it comes in the same window itself.
Basically its not the accessibility issue, its just like how we get chats in
latest skype if we are on default view.
To deal with file download box, one has to first come to address bar, then
press shift tab twice or so, you should get the cancel, and by more shift
tabs buttons like save split, open, etc.
People say keystrokes like f6 or alt N will bring your focuss on that
dialogue, but I'm laisy in trying that :)
The address bar and search bar is intigrated into one address box. That does
not cause any issue.
3. Sometimes in rare cases Jaws is announcing extra element information on
web pages, but not a severe problem.
Other than this, I have not come across any other issue.
As far as firefox 4 is concerned, in terms of usability with jaws there is
no issue. However as you rightly pointed out that webvisum is not working
with ff4 as of now.
Please note, I am not big fan of firefox, I use only for captcha solving,
therefore I have not explored it deeply.
IE9 has been tested with Jaws 11 by my friend, and I have been using it with
12, and in both versions situation seems to be same.
Regards
Amar Jain.

Subject: [AI] IE9 and Jaws?
hi friends.
both Mozilla and Microsoft have come out with upgrades to their
browsers. I have read in many places including this platform that the
firefox upgrade has problems working with accessible technology like
webvisum, and hence not quite ready for use by the visually
challenged.
I would like to know what's the situation with IE9? read somewhere its
also not quite accessible? do we have some scripts?
thanks in advance,
