Hi all,

One of our helpdesk caller who is a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan
(KVS) appeared for PGT exams conducted by KVS in February 2011. The minimum
ellegibility criteria to appear in the exams was M.Sc and B.Ed. He was provided
a scribe by the exam authorities and the scribe given to him was a student of
class 11th whose reading/writing both were poor which affected this person's
performance in the exams.
1. In light of above, would like to know if there are any rules set for
visually impaired candidates providing for scribe, extra time and other
compensating facilities in PGT exams in KVS.

2. We do not have a clear understanding of who conducts these exams for various
schools in the country, whether it is the central and the state governments, or
the education boards, or all of them.
Would also like to know, what are the provisions for visually impaired
candidates in PGT exams conducted elsewhere.

With best regards,
Satguru Rathi | Helpdesk Executive
