Dear Yusuf,
You can use any SAPI compliant TTS in AMIS.
To select a different voice in AMIS:
Just open AMIS, go to FILE menu and then into PREFERENCES.
Press TAB and then select your desired TTS from the combo box.
Please note that you will have to install your preferred TTS packages like
Sangeeta or Lekha on your computer and only then they will be available in
AMIS.
As far as reading the menu options and other information is concerned I hope
you know that you can mute the self voicing feature of AMIS and operate it
with JAWS voice.
The latest version of AMIS is 3.1 and you also get Jaws scripts with the
installation. If you don't have the latest AMIS go to
http://www.daisy.org/amis
Hope this helps,
Prashant
I am copying below some notes on Jaws scripts for AMIS.

JAWS scripts version 3.0.1
In this release, JAWS scripts are updated for some changed keyboard
shortcuts of AMIS.

JAWS scripts version 3.0.1 presents following AMIS windows to user.

1. Main Window.
2. Navigation tree window

Discription:
1. Main window:
This window can be activated by using Control+A as keyboard shortcut.
In this window, all AMIS navigation keyboard shortcuts work as described in
AMIS help file.

2. Navigation tree window:
It is also written as AMIS sidebar in AMIS help and gains focus with
Control+N.
This window contains a tree control similar to tree found in window
explorer.
In this window arrow keys shortcuts become tree control navigation shortcuts
navigating only at level of headings i.e. Global navigation.

The main window also contains text of book being playing in a child window.
Text in This window temporarily recieves JAWS focus in one of following
modes.
2.1. Fine Navigation mode
2.2. Text Only Book reading mode

Discription:
2.1. Fine Navigation mode:
This mode is used to provide navigation below phrase level navigation i.e.
at level of words and characters in an Full text Full audio Book.
In this mode arrow keys are overridden and behave like standard JAWS text
reading keys to provide character / word / line level movement.
Keyboard Shortcut:
Control+Shift+I to enter fine navigation mode.

This is a temporary mode so whenever text loose focus, like on giving go to
main window command, fine navigation mode exits by itself.

2.2. Text Only Book reading mode:
This mode has been added to enable JAWS users read Text only books as these
books do not have any audio content.
Users will find reading in this mode similar to reading an html page.
Keyboard shortcut:
Control+Shift+T for Enter Text Only Book reading mode

Text Only Book reading mode exits by itself on:
moving to tree window,
moving to main window,
openning a new book

Some instructions for handling Text Only Books:
Users will not able to hear any content of text only book while they are on
main window this is because here navigation commands will just highlight
next/prev phrases and sections without providing any speech output. To hear
contents of book, users should press Control+Shift+T to enter text Only Book
reading mode.
This mode can be activated from tree window also whith same Control+Shift+T
shortcut.
After pressing this shortcut in tree view users should wait for some time
till target heading in text content is synchronised with highlighted node in
tree window. JAWS will stop speech output for a small time till nodes in
both tree window and cursor focus on corresponding text content are
synchronised.

Important Note: Text Only Book reading mode should be used only with text
only books. Its use with audio containing books is not recommended.
For reading text in full text full audio books, fine navigation mode should
be used.

Issue with Antivirus: Some antivirus may ask permission to allow running of
these scripts as these scripts access AMIS files in program files folder. In
such a case user will have to give permission to antivirus program.
