Hi Pranay,

I presume you have Windows 7 installed on your machine?

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 15 machine with Windows 7. I am able to
disable/enable the touchpad by pressing the key located right next to the
function key 12 (F12) key. This is a toggle option, and Jaws announces
whether the touchpad is enabled or disabled every time you press the key.
Not sure whether this will work for you, but worth a try.

Subject: [AI] Touch pad in Dell inspiron

Hi all,
I use a Dell Inspiron laptop. Is there a short cut key to disable the touch
pad? if not, where in windows can I do so?

While typing, a slightest touch of my lower palm on the touch pad clicks the
mouse and my PC cursor is relocated. This keeps happening and I have to
bring the cursor back to its original position.

Disabling the HID compliant mouse in the Mouse section of control panel
didn't help, the touch pad was still working.

Any ideas?

thanks and regards,
