trafic updates helps us to know how many meters we are away from the
signel/destination.
for example, during the navigation, it will tell you"in the trafic signel
take 2nd exit".
there you can choose traffic update to know how many meters you are away
from the signal/destination.

Hi,
No idea about optimised root.
when I was using faster root, it guiding me only on main roads. hence it
took me lot of time to reach my destination. Write now I am using shorter
root to reach my destination. The advantage is that it will guide you to
reach your destination in shortway by taking you in small roads. & it is
time consumable too.
so, I recommend you to choose shorter root for better navigation.
