Today someone from Chennai called me about Bengali ESpeak. I asked him to
send me the details by email. I shall try to volunteer or organise it here.
Perhaps I missed your email somehow.
The call came from a Chennai landline number. I could not hear him properly
as I was then at a very crowded place. Maybe we shall have Bengali ESpeak
soon. By the way, how is it functioning in Tamil and Malayalam?

It was some time back, I had put on this list, seeking volunteers, for
development of speech synthesizers for other regional language on,
E-speak platform.
Sad, to say, there were no volunteers for it. We expect others to find
solutions to our problems.
No technical expertise is expected from the volunteers. We can still have
Bengali synthesizers if we have volunteers. It is also open for other
regional language where synthesizers are not available.
Anyone interested in volunteering in the development of speech
synthesizers may drop me a line.
On e-speak synthesizers are now available for Punjabi, hindi, telugu,
tamil, Kanadda, Malayalam.

Why aren't these people working for Bengali screen reader? It has a very
good prospect in West Bengal and Bangladesh. How long shall we wait?
